Another Sight and Sound Theater spectacular!
The story of DAVID is fun to watch and can really lift you up. Sight and Sound makes it even better by turning it into something new and exciting. This show is made for the whole family to enjoy. It gives people not only a good time but also something to feel good about.
Mind-Blowing Sets: The stage is very big. There are two large side stages, which makes room for more action. The sets are really something to look at and feel almost like they are moving with music. They keep changing all through the show. This helps make the whole thing feel like you are part of it. The size and how grand the production is will stun you.
Live animals always draw attention at Sight & Sound shows. In the play David, the use of real animals stands out again. The sheep are a big part of this, and many feel happy and excited watching them. They bring fun as they run or hop down the aisles and are often up on stage.
Spectacular Special Effects: The show uses special effects to make the story feel real. You will see bright strobe lights and sharp images on big LED screens. There are cool touches like fog, rain, and even snow over the crowd. A moving part is when the snow starts to fall on everyone during a scene that shows people being sorry and forgiving each other. This moment makes it feel like the audience is in the story with the actors.
Goliath: Get ready to be amazed when the giant Goliath shows up. This puppet is huge and catches everyone’s attention. People say he is “mind-blowing” and “mesmerizing.” He is 15 feet tall and can rise up to about 26 feet when he stands on a platform. This makes him tower over all the actors on the stage. The crowd lets out “audible gasps” when they see him. There is a total silence as he moves in a real way, and then, when he is defeated, the whole audience cheers and claps.
Music: The music in the show is very strong and moving. It is fun to listen to and can also lift your spirits. This really shows when the harp solo plays. David’s mother also gives a great opening performance.
