Branson Police Chief, Jeff Matthews will present the Department’s biannual report to the Branson Board of Aldermen at the regularly scheduled study session on February 20, 2020, at 12:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers in Branson City Hall located at 110 W. Maddux St.
Report on 2019 crime statistics
This report will include 2019 year-end crime statistics, 2019 accomplishments and objectives moving forward for 2020.
“This report is very encouraging and highlights the great results we are seeing across the City,” said Branson Police Chief
Matthews. “We appreciate and value our police/community partnerships and are committed to continually seeking
sustainable solutions to neighborhood issues. These partnerships are producing positive results which will be shared in the
review of our 2019 Uniform Crime Report,” continued Chief Matthews.
National Recognition in Report
During the presentation, Chief Matthews will share a special national recognition that the Branson Police Department
received from the U.S. Department of Justice Community Oriented Policing Services.
The report will also feature several successful community engagement programs held throughout 2019, including the new
Summer Teen Engagement Program (STEP) and the newly formed Citizens Police Academy & Alumni Association.
