200303 Pedestrian Safety improvements Gretna 76 NOP 600x338 - Pedestrian Safety Improvements Continue at Gretna Rd & W 76 Country Blvd
Work zones at 76 Country Blvd and Gretna Road Intersection.

The City of Branson’s Public Works Department will continue upgrading the pedestrian signals at the Gretna Rd. and W. 76 Country Blvd intersection at 8:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 6, 2020, and will continue the work through the end of the week to improve pedestrian safety and traffic flow at that intersection.

This work started Thursday, February 27, 2020, on the north side of the intersection. Work this week will now focus on the south side of the intersection. This is the first phase of this project that is expected to be complete in August or September of 2020.

Work zones in the intersection are expected to last a couple of hours each and will have minimal impacts on traffic. Drivers are asked to slow down and be vigilant to changing traffic patterns as the crews work on different portions of the intersection.

As always, the Public Works Department tries to schedule this type of work during the off-season while traffic is at a minimal, compared to the busy summer season. For questions regarding this project, please contact the Branson Public Works & Engineering Department at 417-243-2725.
